Kamloops Pride has also added some additional events to this year's line-up, including a Pride Week Kick-Off, Drag Brunch, and an all-ages Drag Show!
Please be advised that due to venue capacity limitations, ticket availability will be limited. Please purchase tickets in advance of the event as there may not be any available at the door.
Allies are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Pride Resource Carnival - All Ages
August 26, 2022 - 4:00 PM -7:00 PM
Explore 2SLGBTQPIA+ Resources and Businesses while playing games and winning prizes!
This all-ages event will showcase 2SLGBTQPIA+ resources and businesses. Each vendor will bring information for their services along with a carnival-style game! There will be tons of games to play and prizes to be won!

Cost: Attendance is free. We ask that any vendors who would like to participate contribute a $10 min donation to go towards the cost of the event.

Pride Youth Dance - 13-18
August 26, 2022 - 7:00 PM -9:00 PM
Hey there, Kamloops youth! Are you between the ages of 13-18? Do you want to dance? Then this is the event for you!
On August 26 from 7-9pm, Join us at Norkam Secondary in your favourite dancing outfit, rainbow gear and glowsticks, and get ready to dance the night away!
Tickets are by donation, and all proceeds go to Safe Spaces at Interior Community Services Kamloops.
Please remember that even though it is school break, the dance will be on school property and the same rules apply. Absolutely No drugs/alcohol and No smoking/vaping. Snacks and beverages will be provided by Kamloops Pride.
We are looking for parents who would like to help volunteer for this event. Please email info@kamloopspride.com if you are interested.

Drag Storytime - Kids

Join Freida Whales for some of her favourite stories, songs, and a craft!

Pride Nature Walk - All Ages
August 27, 2022 - 10:00 AM
To help get us all warmed up for the parade, Kamloops Pride has teamed up with the Kamloops Naturalist Club to offer a nature walk in Peterson Creek park. Join us at 10 am by the park entrance sign, just look for the rainbow flags! (1440 Glenfair drive, downtown entrance off Columbia).
There will be two groups you can choose to join. There’s a high energy hiking group that will tackle steeper terrain. Wear good shoes and be prepared to sweat! The other group will stick to flatter areas and gently meander through the park while learning about the plants and trees that inhabit the area.
Both groups will return to the park entrance after 60-90 minutes. Remember to stay hydrated, wear a hat, and sunscreen. All are welcome and there is no cost to the event.

About the Performers
Ella Lamoureux:
Ella Lamoureux is one of the founding performers of the Kelowna drag scene. From Kelowna’s Next Drag Superstar drag competition, Embodiment, #2muffs1collr, to recent star on Call Me Mother, Ella has carved out her place as one of the most influential and stunning drag performers in Kelowna. A makeup artist by trade, Ella will eternally tease you with her beauty. But, watch out if you displease her — that tongue is quick and sharper than you think! She’s generally “as sweet as cherry pie” and she brings so much love and joy to the community. A true charmer, Ella Lamoureux is Kelowna’s Sweetheart.
Toddy:
Toddy is a high energy drag performer, standup comedian and singer-songwriter. Toddy has most recently been featured in OutTV’s new drag reality series “Call Me Mother”, and was the Season One Winner! Trained as an opera singer, they often find themself at the intersect of classical music and mainstream media. As a comedian, Toddy has been featured on CBCLOL, JFL42, JFL Northwest and the Portland Queer Comedy Festival. They are the number one shrill icon!

We all know a Pride weekend isn’t complete without a killer party night, and luckily for you, Rebellious Unicorns is here to provide. Join us, Toddy, Ella Lamoureux and local talent for the OFFICIAL Kamloops Pride after party, fruitcake. This is a night you won’t soon forget.
The night begins with two fabulous drag shows (one all ages, one 19+), and ends with our DJ on the decks spinning until 1am.

2022 Downtown Pride Parade - All Ages
August 28, 2022 - 11:00 AM Marching Starts
Hello Kamloops!! After a two-year hiatus, Kamloops Pride is extremely excited to announce that the 2022 Annual Downtown Pride Parade will introduce FLOATS!
That's right folks, it's time to decorate those cars, trucks, and trailers with your brightest rainbows and the most sparkly environmentally-friendly glitter, and get ready to celebrate Kamloops Pride Week 2022 in a BIG way!
Applications for the Pride Parade are now closed. Individuals may register on Parade day at the check-in table located at 3rd and St Paul street, starting at 9am August 28.
Parade will start at the rainbow crosswalk on 2nd ave and Seymour Street, marchers will head north on 2nd ave, turn right and head east on Victoria Street and disperse between 5th and 6th avenue.

*Please Note - Kamloops Pride Supporter Level $100 does not qualify as a Kamloops Pride Week 2022 Sponsorship as the supporter level is used outside of Pride Week.

Pride Afterparty in the Park - All Ages
August 28, 2022 - 12:00 PM -4:00 PM
After a fun-filled week of pride events, please join us for the final wrap up event "Afterparty in the Park".
Following the Pride Parade on Sunday August 28, 2022, we will gather in Riverside Park for a fun-filled festival! Dozens of vendors will have booths set up to showcase their art, wares and share their helpful information about products and services available in the Kamloops area. Starting at approximately 1:00 PM there will be speeches and performances in the bandshell until about 4:00PM
We are no longer accepting booth applications! Thank you to all who have applied!
