Vancouver Queer Film Festival Screening! 18+
This Saturday August 13, 2022, 7-9pm is movie night at the Kamloops United Church! To help celebrate the kick off of this year's Vancouver Queer Film Festival we will be holding a two-hour free screening of a collection of shorts from the festival. Due to mature themes this is an 18+ only event. Seating is limited, please RSVP here
The Vancouver Queer Film Festival, one of the oldest in western Canada, is set to begin on August 11th and will run until August 21st this year. The theme of this year’s festival is Make it Yours. The festival is offering many of its films online in British Columbia through video-on-demand. The event is being organized by Kamloops Pride and Prime Timers Kamloops. With over 90 films being featured, the evening is meant to provide a sample of all that the festival has to offer. You can learn more about the festival at queerfilmfestival.ca. Free popcorn and pop will be provided! Come join us for a fun night of queer films!

Pride Trivia Night 19+
Hello Kamloops! Kamloops Pride and Tremendous Trivia Night Productions presents: Pride Trivia Night!
Get your friends together to test your knowledge for a night of Pride-themed trivia!

Community Creations at the Kamloops Farmer's Market

Every Saturday Starting April 23, 2022
8:30AM - 12:30PM
Kamloops Pride would like to partner with local 2SLGBTQPIA+ artists/artisans, small hand-made craft, and agricultural businesses in an attempt to highlight some of the wonderful creations and products the community has to offer! Sellers will be randomly drawn using a random number generator.
We will supply the tent, the table, and some help. You just need to bring your products and any decor/signage required for your display!

Craft & Create is Kamloops Pride’s new 2SLGBTQPIA+ virtual art club where you can come and hang out, meet new people, learn a new technique, and create something new each month. Allies are welcome and encouraged!

Rainbow Reads
Volunteer-Created Event

Youth-friendly
Rainbow Reads is a new 2SLGBTQPIA+ book club that focuses on books written by Queer authors with Queer narratives.
The club will meet virtually every 2 months. Attendance is not mandatory for each meeting, but we’d love to see some regular faces! Books will be accessible to all for no cost via reading apps if required. If you are interested in joining us, please fill out this form. Allies are welcome and encouraged to join! There is no cost.

Kamloops United Church Thrift Shop
Youth-friendly
Those who identify as part of the 2SLGBTQ+ community and are looking for a safe and judgement-free environment to explore their gender expression and style are welcome to join us! All volunteers will be hand-selected allies and/or members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
There will be assistance available for those who join to find the style that enhances their confidence while offering connections to resources and assistance with their journey. We will also be playing some great music and the KUC Thrift Shop always has affordable prices!
Please note, the KUC thrift shop accepts cash only.

Rebellious Unicorns
Founded in 2017, Rebellious Unicorns is a 100% 2SLGBTQ+ owned events, broadcasting and media production company, dedicated to leading positive change in the Okanagan and curating inclusive events, experiences, and programming that bring people together. Rebellious Unicorns has produced a variety of in-person events for the 2SLGBTQ+ community and allies, including the drag-focused extravaganza, FruitCake, and the business social, the MX. One of RUPC’s signature events, Peak Pride, is a winter pride festival held at mountain resorts in BC such as Big White, SilverStar, Sun Peaks, and RED Mountain Resort, attracting hundreds of attendees from Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest.

TRU Student Union Pride:
Queer Connections
TRUSU Pride Club aims to have an inclusive space for LGBTQ2S + students on campus, and to provide a safe space where members and their allies feel included and not judged
