AGM
2026 Annual General Meeting
When: Thursday, October 1 2026 at 6:00PM
Where: virtual (Zoom)
Who: All members of the public are invited to attend and registered Society Members are invited to vote on new Board of Directors applicants.
How to vote: Voting at the AGM is open to all society members who are registered 14 days before the AGM. All society members are eligible to vote for changes to the constitution and elect new board members. If you would like to become a society member, please sign up below.
At the 2026 AGM there will be a special resolution to make changes the Kamloops Pride Constitution.
Summary of key changes:

Individuals interested in applying for the role of President must have served on the Kamloops Pride Board in a different role for a minimum of six (6) months to be eligible. If no applicants meet this requirement the Society will consider applicants who have been Society Members for a minimum of six (6) months. If the President position is vacant, an interim President will be appointed by the board

Unless all of the Officer roles are filled, the number of Directors at Large (General Directors) shall not exceed four (4).

The number of directors shall be no less than three (3) and no more than five (5). This number is subject to change by vote of members at a general meeting.

Removal of the requirement for Board Members to attend one KP event in-person per month

How to attend the AGM: Register for the virtual AGM below. The AGM is open to society members who are registered 14 days before the AGM, but the Zoom link will only be sent out to those who register for the meeting.
An agenda will be emailed out with the Zoom link to those who register. Topics will include:

If you are applying for a position on the board please be mindful of the time commitments required for all Board Executives and Directors:

Minimum 10+ hrs/month of volunteer time (does not include meetings)

Attend 1 Board Meeting monthly as well as committee meetings as required
New board members are voted onto the Board annually at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and interim members may be appointed by the Board of Directors throughout the year if there is a vacancy.
